We’re excited to announce that director Haider Rashid’s new feature film project “Europa” has been financed by both Mibact – Italian Minister of Culture’s film production fund and Toscana Film Commission’s film production fund. Berta Film is executive producer of “Europa”- a political thriller survival which pre-production will start in 2019.
Berta Film’s Stefano Mutolo, executive producer of successful feature documentaries as The Last Italian Cowboys (Gli Ultimi butteri, 2018) and Piigs (2017) acts for the first time as executive producer of a feature film project, supporting the film’s fundraising and as creative producer. The film has been selected at last Dubai Film Connection’s pitching forum at the Dubai Film Festival 2017.
Europa is the third collaboration between Haider Rashid’s company, Radical Plans and Berta Film after the documentaries “Street Opera” and “No Borders” (as documentary sales agent). In addition to these projects both companies have been working together on a series of VR short documentaries released by Repubblica/Espresso as executive procucers.
“Europa” is produced by Radical Plans in collaboration with Berta Film and Emanuele Nespeca’s Solaria Film. This partnership has been fueled by the networking activity of CNA Cinema & Audiovisivo Toscana, a regional and national association that constantly encourages new partnerships between Italian entrepeneurs in the field of audiovisual production.
